This site may eventually be changed or replaced. Unfortunately, I no longer have the program that I used to make this site and seeing that I have 2 photos that don't work on one of the pages and the files seem to have disappeared with the program I am unable to fix them. If I ever manage to redo my photo site I will definitely make note of it.. I'll also have to remember where else online I listed my site so I can let others know of the change. lol I'd hate for a potential relative or someone who can identify some of my photos to come across it and it no longer be available..

My paternal Grandfather, Clifton Elias EVANS. I do also believe that it should be Camp Shelby, Mississippi instead of Michigan as I've noted on the photo itself....

My Paternal Grandparents

My grandfather was Clifton Elias EVANS b. February 20, 1904 in St. Charles, Saginaw County, Michigan and was married to Esther Christine BRAUN b. May 05, 1924 in Buffalo District, Wellsburg, Brooke County, West Virginia.

Clifton d. August 27, 1978 in Steubenville, Jefferson County, Ohio and is buried in Highland Hills Memorial Gardens, Follansbee, Brooke County, West Virginia.

Esther d. January 1981 in Beverly, Washington County, Ohio and is buried in Highland Hills Memorial Gardens, Follansbee, Brooke County, West Virginia.

Clifton and Esther had one son, Paul C. b. 1956 in Follansbee, West Virginia.

Esther also had a daughter from her first marriage to, I believe, a John JACKSON.

* Note: I don't have much information on Esther's first marriage other than a name.

My First Posting - An Introduction

Genealogy, or family history, has become a time consuming hobby/addiction for me. I spend hours at a time searching through websites looking for information on that elusive relative. I hope that by publishing this I can come in contact with others who are searching for the same relatives as myself.

I will start you off with a quick background of myself. My name is Sheri (Evans) Whaley and was born and raised in Marietta, Ohio. My mothers family is from the Cleveland, Ohio area and up into Ontario, Canada. The main names I am looking for on her side are MALCOLM, MORAN, KLEIN, RHEINHOLD and LOUCKS. My fathers family is from the Saginaw County, Michigan area and Washington County, Ohio up and back down the Ohio River through Pleasants County, West Virginia. The surnames I covet on his side are EVANS, BRAUN, DOTSON and WOHLRAB.
