I actually have an account with Squidoo.com and can vouch for how varied the subject matter is. In fact, I have a lens specifically for beginning genealogists, The World of Genealogy.
***UPDATE*** The lens page mentioned above, "The World of Genealogy", is longer available, nor is my personal Squidoo account. After the website deleted my genealogy lens for "lack of original content" and would not reactivate it I deleted my entire account. Except for the links to other websites and genealogy videos, EVERYTHING I added to that page were my own original words. I will no longer show support for the website as far as using it to make your own lens pages. I will still support it as far as the information available from the lens pages of others.
