Trumbull County has a Death Index for the years 1867-1908.
In October 1908 the State of Ohio began to keep Death Records on a state-wide basis. These were originally housed in Columbus, but many were eventually transferred to the Ohio Historical Society. The OHS currently holds the records from October 1908 to 1952, and has provided an online index to those from 1913 to 1937.

The Trumbull County Local History & Genealogy Center has indices and microfilm copies of all available Death Certificates from 1908 through 1952.

Death Certificates from 1953 to the present are still held by the Ohio Department of Health. They must be ordered from them at a cost of $15 and a 4 to 6 week wait.
